Nevada minimum wage - 2026
Official rates sourced from the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner
Nevada minimum wage overview
Nevada reached $12 per hour for all employees in 2024 after years of having a two-tier system based on health benefits. Nevada does not allow a tip credit - tipped employees receive the full minimum wage.
Nevada previously had a two-tier minimum wage where employers offering qualifying health benefits could pay a lower rate. This two-tier system was eliminated and all Nevada workers now receive the same minimum wage regardless of benefits.
Governing law
Nevada minimum wage is governed by Nevada Revised Statutes NRS 608.250 (NRS § 608.250). This statute establishes the minimum hourly wage that Nevada employers must pay covered employees.
The official authority for minimum wage enforcement in Nevada is the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner. For official rate verification or to report a minimum wage violation, contact the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner directly.
What if my employer pays less than minimum wage?
If your employer is paying you less than the Nevada minimum wage of $12.00 per hour, you have the right to file a wage claim with the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner. You may be entitled to recover back wages plus penalties. Most states allow you to recover unpaid wages going back 2-3 years. You can also file a complaint with the federal U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division which enforces the federal minimum wage under the FLSA.
